2. If under the ‘Stop-the-Clock’ policy, you have been granted a place in CAPT for one semester (Semester 1) during Year 3 and wish to stay for Semester 2, you are advised to apply in this window to extend your residency.

|One of the distinctive features of the UTown Residential Colleges is the opportunity for a deeper and broader academic experience. Members of the College who are offered a place in this exercise should continue to participate in structured academic activity during their year of residence. This may take the form of a credit-bearing module (Capstone experience, ISM, UROP, seminar module), or other Living and Learning activities such as reading groups, or an individual / group academic project approved by the College.|

Step 3: Apply through the online portal by 31 January 2017, 11:59pm (now closed). Do apply early and refrain from submitting your application at the last minute. The system will close at 11:59PM sharp on 31 January 2017. Hard copies, late submissions, or submissions via e-mail will NOT be accepted.
Current CAPTains (AY2016/2017) are eligible to apply for Senior Retention of the new academic year (AY2017/2018).

Information for Freshmen
Freshmen accepted into the College of Alice & Peter Tan in their first year are offered residency for one year in the first instance, which is normally renewed, so that they stay in the College of a total of two years. Students are asked to submit the application in Semester 2 of Year 2 if you intend to continue your residency for a third year. You are encouraged to regularly maintain a portfolio of your Year 1 activities.
