Application Procedure

for Admissions in AY2024/2025

The College of Alice & Peter Tan embraces diversity and strives to achieve that. We encourage all students who are interested in the living and learning experience that residential colleges offer to submit their application.

Incoming Freshman: The application window for incoming students into University Town College Programme (UTCP) will open from 11 March 2024 (09:00 am) to 8 April 2024 (23:59 pm). The deadline has been extended to 29 April 2024 (23.59 pm).The application is closed for this year. 

As there will only be one application window, you are strongly encouraged to apply even if you have not received an offer to join an undergraduate degree programme in NUS yet. 

All candidates will be asked to submit essays as part of the application process and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Interviews will be held between 3-24 May 2024 (during office hours). For candidates who are serving National Service, kindly ask your commanders for time off for the interview. Do note the following before accessing the UTCP application system:

  • Admission into the UTCP at the College of Alice & Peter Tan is contingent upon your acceptance of an offer to study in NUS.
  • You should understand the curriculum requirements.
  • You may indicate your preference for College of Alice & Peter Tan in your application, but your eventual College placement (if selected) may be different.
  • Meals are considered part of community life, and it is compulsory for all students to purchase a meal plan upon admission to the College. Do refer to our FAQ for more information.

After successful admission to the UTCP:

Candidates are required to complete a room registration process at the Office of Student Affairs’ University Hostel Management System (UHMS) portal.

The UHMS portal is only available to candidates who have been offered admission to the College of Alice & Peter Tan and an NUS undergraduate programme.
