Amitav Acharya is a Professor of International Relations at the School of International Service, American University, Washington, DC, where he also holds the UNESCO Chair in Transnational Challenges and Governance. He is the president-elect of International Studies Association (ISA), the world’s leading professional association in the field of international relations, assuming the presidency of the association in 2014-15.
In this talk, Professor Acharya discussed his book ‘The Making of Southeast Asia’. He argues in this important book for the crucial importance of regionalism in a different part of the world.
