‘IN CONVERSATION’ with Professor Ian Lubek– “The Syphon Bottle and the History of Carbonated Water”

IAN LUBEK is a Professor (Adjunct) of Psychology at University of Guelph (Canada), Visiting Professorial Fellow at the University of New South Wales (Australia), a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association, and a frequent visiting researcher in Europe (IRESCO/CNRS in Paris; University Leiden, NL) and Australia (University of Western Sydney; National Centre in HIV Social Research, University of New South Wales).

In this talk, Prof Lubek covered the history of carbonated water from  physics anomaly, preventative health measure and convivial alcohol/syrup accompaniment, through patent wars, military useage, and home family drink, to decline and death from supermarkets and globalized cola wars.
