‘IN CONVERSATION’ with Professor Matthew Sparke

Dr Matthew Sparke is Professor of Geography and International Studies, and Adjunct Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle. Professor Sparke outlined how global studies and global health research are intimately intertwined. He explained what led to his interest in global health inequalities and also highlighted the importance of addressing ‘mountains beyond mountains’ of struggles for health that visions of a flat globalized world too often obscure and ignore.
