Join us at University Town (UTown) for a series of activities to catch a glimpse of residential college life as well as to find out more about our distinctive UTown Residential Programme (UTRP) offered in both Angsana College and Tembusu College.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to find out how you can enrich your campus experience through a new and innovative curriculum which extends your learning beyond the classroom. Sample Seminars (Session 1 and Session 2)
Speaker : Dr Greg Petersen
Title : What Makes a Leader
Synopses : A very brief introduction into the idea of ‘leadership’, asking what characteristics define a leader, whether and how leadership continues to be important today. We will review the lives of personalities, past and present, who are considered leading figures in diverse fields (art/music, politics/military, business, ethics/religion, social causes, etc) at the local community, national and global levels.

Speaker : Dr Siok Tambyah
Title : Singapore: A Happy State of Mind?
Synopses : This sample seminar provides a broad perspective on the state of happiness and quality of life in Singapore, and also asks the following questions: Who are the people who are happy in Singapore? Can money buy happiness in Singapore? What really makes Singaporeans happy? Can the government manufacture happiness for Singaporeans?
Venue : Seminar Room 7, Level 2, Town Plaza

Speaker : Dr Song Jiyoung
Title : A Path to Global Citizenship
Synopses : This sample seminar will introduce the concept, values and different aspects of global citizenship in the local context, the so-called ‘Glocalisation’. The lively small-class environment will provide close interactions with the fellow lecturer using various multimedia sources.
