In AY12/13 Semester 1, Professor Thumboo hosted a dialogue on a different topic on Tuesday mornings.
Public Presentation – Edwin Thumboo: A Poet in Singapore
Based on some 70 years’ experience of life and contacts, the Professor Thumboo discussed how his creative and thematic interests were formed, modified and expanded by various factors and influences.
Artist-in-Residence Programme 2013 – Ms Samantha Tio
For AY2012/2013 Semester 2, CAPT (then called Angsana College) invited photographer Ms Samantha Tio as our Artist-in-Residence.
Photography Workshops
Samantha Tio conducted several photography workshops, culminating in a photo exhibition by the students at the end of her residency.
Artist-in- Residence Programme (2013) – Caleb Goh
CAPT was honoured to have Mr Caleb Goh, former drama teacher and professional theatre practitioner, as our Artist-in-Residence for AY2013/2014 Semester 1, in line with the production of CAPT's first ever musical. Mr Goh mentored CAPTains as they geared up for their performance of Michael Chiang's 'Beauty World'.
Musical Theatre Workshop
The musical theatre workshop on 8th October 2013 by Caleb Goh was a hands-on opportunity to experience the world of musical theatre through actual performance preparation.
Musical Theatre Master Class
The musical theatre master class on 22nd October 2013 provided participants with individual coaching on the musical theatre number of their choice.
Artist-in-Residence Programme 2016
This year, sculptor and arts worker, Mr Chris Gilmour, spent a live-in semester in CAPT under the auspices of the Artist-in-Residence (AiR) programme. AiR provides an avenue for distinguished and talented artists to share their expertise and creative work with members of the college community, and in doing so, enrich the College's residential life and learning.
