CAPT10 Carnival was held on 9th March 2022 and was one of the many events to commemorate CAPT’s 10th anniversary.
Community Engagement Festival (CE Fest) is CAPT’s annual flagship event. In CE Fest 2022, we hope to dispel pre-conceived notions about some communities and be the bridge in sparking a passion for community engagement within CAPTains.
It has truly been a wonderful two years in CAPT! Especially, as we reminisce about our time as House Heads of the Phoenix neighbourhood in CAPT for AY2022/2023, we are filled with a deep sense of gratitude and nostalgia.
The theme of CE Day 2022 is "re(act)". Through their CE experiences on CE Day, we hope that the freshmen will change in their visibility, perceptions, and optics of CE and that this would serve as a catalyst to reflect and seek to understand those beyond themselves.
The CAPT annual Formal Dinner held to celebrate the start of a new Academic Year was held on 31 August 2022.
The third CAPT Research Forum titled ‘Leading Change in Sustainability & Disability Inclusion: Unpacking Active Citizenship through Research & Practice’ was held on 17 September 2022 and saw a total of 69 attendees.
Twenty CAPTains passionate about wanting to create social impact through creative and ingenious ideas came together and turned those ideas into prototypes.
In CE Fest AY 2022/2023, we aim to eliminate prejudice against communities and to inspire CAPTains to pursue their passion in community engagement. This CE Fest engaged 238 CAPTains, as well as 27 community partners.
After two years of online engagement amidst COVID-19, CAPT Kamal takes flight once again! CAPT Kamal is a Student Learning Group (SLG) that engages with students in Bangalore, India.
CAPTSumba served as a springboard to restart the Service Learning Group (SLG) CAPTClouds which was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
22 NUS students had the privilege of participating in the DCU Global Youth Camp hosted by Mahidol University at its Salaya and Kanchanaburi campuses from 6 to 13 January 2024.
CAPTSLAM Queensway is a leadership mentoring programme for Secondary 3 student leaders from Queensway Secondary School. CAPTains (mentors) engage with our mentees through a series of mentoring sessions curated by the mentors.
