Zero Waste SG

During the summer break, we interned with Zero Waste SG to gain experience of working in a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). Over eight weeks, we completed a range of tasks including researching, drafting of business proposals, conducting interviews and raising funds.

Throughout the internship, we were constantly pushed out of our comfort zones as we had to embark on unfamiliar and challenging tasks. One of our memorable achievements was planning and executing an entire fundraising event from scratch in three weeks! That was certainly no easy feat!

“More than just greater appreciation of the challenges of community work in an NGO, our biggest takeaway was in responding to these challenges through adaptability, flexibility, and quick thinking. This has definitely been an incredibly valuable experience!”
